Dear John,

Wisconsin’s Supreme Court election is getting national attention – for very good reason. But, there’s another big race you should watch.

It's the Green Bay mayor's race, where I live and work, and we've endorsed Mayor Eric Genrich. This election is going to be close, and there’s so much on the line for our community, environment, and our freedom to vote.

You can check all of our local endorsements here [[link removed]] – and support our efforts to elect climate and democracy leaders across Wisconsin with an urgent gift today: [[link removed]]

Under Mayor Genrich, Green Bay has become a healthier, thriving, and more climate resilient community. From removing the last lead service pipe from our water system, to creating the state’s first municipal Conservation Corps, to investing in our beloved parks system, to committing the city to 100 percent clean energy, and addressing flooding in our neighborhoods with investments in green infrastructure – Mayor Genrich is protecting the Green Bay we love for future generations.

Mayor Genrich’s list of impressive accomplishments includes:
* Leveraged local, state, and national resources to make historic investments in the city’s roads and bridges
* Created the position of Resiliency Coordinator to fight flooding and work to develop a climate-ready community
* Established the first municipal Conservation Corps in the state of Wisconsin that is working to remove invasive species, restore native habitat, and improve Green Bay’s natural areas
* Made real progress in the effort to relocate more than 100-year-old coal piles and redevelop the city’s waterfront
* Created a program to assist new, small businesses in their effort to grow and expand
* Worked to ensure that every resident feels welcome in our amazing community by creating the city’s first Equal Rights Commission and non-discrimination ordinance and more than tripling our LGBTQ equality score from the Human Rights Campaign

Mayor Genrich is also a staunch defender of our democracy – often in the face of election conspiracy theorists hellbent on undermining our freedom to vote. Genrich has expanded early voting hours, improved accessibility for voters with disabilities, increased multilingual voter resources, and recruited and trained more poll workers in the city’s history.

Your urgent gift right now helps us do everything in our power between now and April 4 to elect pro-climate and pro-democracy leaders – like Mayor Genrich – in communities across Wisconsin: [[link removed]]
