John,

Late-term abortions require a level of violence that is so barbaric that abortion advocates just pretend they don't happen.

But the Montreal 40 Days for Life campaign recently reported that a baby just two weeks shy of delivery was aborted--at Quebec's Sacred Heart Hospital!

Le Journal de Montreal confirmed the report: "The medical procedure took place the next day as planned, and went according to standards."

The publication said nothing about the brutality of late-term abortion, instead lamenting that pro-lifers requested prayers for the mom to change her mind.

Until the pandemic closed the border, Quebec referred all abortions 24 weeks and later to the United States, because not one doctor in the province was willing to perform a third-trimester abortion. In the United States, more than 8,000 babies 20 weeks or older are dismembered annually.

It's not that late-term abortions are worse than early abortions, but nobody can honestly deny the humanity of an unborn child late in pregnancy.

While 40 Days for Life participants continue to mourn the death of the 38-week-old baby they named Daniel, they did receive a consolation when they learned their prayers saved a baby from abortion!

"A lady informed me that she would keep her unborn child rather than abort," announced longtime Montreal leader Brian. "She had to go to her appointment to wake up to the horror of what an abortion is: the destruction of an innocent."

Tulua, Colombia

Vigil participants in Tulua reported saving TWO babies from late-term abortions.

Doctors advised one six-months-pregnant mom to abort because the baby had a heart problem. But when 40 Days for Life volunteers helped her find a pro-life doctor, the ultrasound revealed the baby was completely healthy.

"The young woman was very happy and chose life," reported 40 Days for Life director of Latin American campaigns Lourdes Varela.

Prayer warriors were also able to meet with a 15-year-old girl who was planning to have an abortion 24 weeks into her pregnancy.

"After they offered help, the girl's mother agreed to support the young woman, and she chose life for her baby girl," Lourdes shared.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

A couple arrived at Planned Parenthood in Pittsburgh to abort their four-month-old unborn baby.

But when 40 Days for Life participants offered them information on alternatives to abortion, they changed their minds.

"So are you going to have your baby?" a prayer warrior asked.

"Yes, I think so," the mom replied.

The two women hugged and exchanged contact information before parting.

Bogota, Colombia

A Bogota woman requested authorization for a 25-week abortion due to a difficult financial situation.

Fortunately, a friend called the local 40 Days for Life team, who helped arrange for counseling, and the mom chose life!

The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne.

--Revelation 12:4-5

O God, from generation to generation, you have called your people to be the very aroma of life amidst a culture of death. Now it is our turn. Prepare me. Send me. Use me. I am eager to do my part. Stir your people everywhere to take up this great work.
