Friend,

At the end of last year, I sent you a note outlining many of the things we accomplished in the U.S. Senate in 2022. Here’s a quick reminder -- because there was a lot:

  • We passed the CHIPS Act to make more computer chips in America.
  • We tackled inflation and climate change with the Inflation Reduction Act.
  • We fought for the PACT Act to provide health care to veterans exposed to toxic burn pits.
  • We protected same-sex and interracial marriage with the Respect for Marriage Act.
  • We improved mental health care access among frontline health care providers with the Dr. Lorna Breen Act.

It was one of the most productive years I’ve ever been a part of in the Senate -- and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.

Now, we are in the early stages of a divided Congress. And while partisan gridlock is likely to curtail some of what we hope to accomplish this year, I’m still optimistic about what can be achieved -- including on a bipartisan level. (As my mom has always said -- if you want to be right, be a pessimist; if you want to do right, be an optimist!)

Some of the issues I’m focused on are creating more high-quality, affordable child care, expanding access to high-quality job training programs, defending women’s reproductive freedom, securing our democracy, ending outdated war authorizations, and providing care to Americans experiencing long COVID.

These issues matter to me -- and I want to know if they matter to you, too.

Will you fill out our quick issue survey today? Let me know which policies matter most to you, and share your thoughts on what else we should prioritize.

TAKE SURVEY

Throughout my career in public service, I’ve strived every day to remember that the most important part of my job is to represent the interests and concerns of my constituents -- so I really hope you’ll share your thoughts with me.

Take just a few minutes of time and let me know what issues matter most to you.

Thanks for engaging in our democracy!

-Tim
