Earlier today, after years of hard work by many committed people, the North Carolina legislature in a bipartisan vote passed Medicaid Expansion into law. I look forward to signing it as soon as possible.

Expanding Medicaid will help NC families stay healthy and strengthen our communities and our economy. It’s a once-in-a-generation investment in our state that will move us forward.

Delivering this deal for North Carolinians has been a top goal of my administration — and a personal priority for me. Every one of us deserves quality, affordable health care, and now, around 600,000 more of our North Carolina neighbors can access the coverage and care they need.
