Salaam, and Ramadan Mubarak from the entire Emgage family!

As this season of reflection begins, I find myself thinking about our team Umrah trip last year, and especially visiting the Ka'bah. Words cannot describe the feelings that arose on seeing the most sacred site in our tradition, the universal center for Muslims around the world.

In one of our lectures, Imam Magid spoke about how the Ka'bah is an intergenerational project. The building and rebuilding of the mosque, the upkeep, the reverence, has been passed down through time. Each generation plants the seeds and is driven by faith that the work we do today will be fruitful for others tomorrow.

In many ways, this reminds me of Emgage’s mission to build community power. We are also driven by faith to do the groundwork – the important work – knowing that this work is critical not only for the present, but also the future generations. These are the values that we center at Emgage.

In this holiest month, we are recommitting ourselves to our values and our mission – and we want you to be a part of it. Will you join our intergenerational project today?

Yes, I will join Emgage’s work!

In gratitude,
