Sen. President Pro Tem Toni Atkins moved SB 50 to the floor today! No amendments were made — yet. If Sen. Wiener allows his bill to stand as-is, SB 50 can be voted on by the entire senate on Wednesday Jan. 29. Wiener still has a narrow window of time to add amendments. But the drop-dead date to pass SB 50 in the senate is Friday, Jan. 31. If the senate doesn't pass the bill by then, IT DIES.

Please write a short anti-SB 50 letter making only a COUPLE of points, sent ONLY TO YOUR state senator (see emails below). Inform her or him that you are a constituent. This bill will worsen housing affordability, destroy thriving low-income communities and destabilize homeownership, statewide.

Please send your letter RIGHT NOW or by morning. Try AGAIN if your email is rejected by your senators' email system. Some have kick-back software but you can override it by trying two or three times.

Remind them what SB 50 will do by sending them this link to this world-shattering map of California under the disastrous SB 50.
