^Look familiar? These are just a few of the scammy, + straight up dishonest tactics used by campaigns to squeeze people for ActBlue donations. 🙄
But NOT us. We know you’re not an ATM. We know real people are the backbone of our work — teachers, nurses, veterans, single parents, retirees, and grassroots supporters like you, John. And we couldn’t be more grateful.
We still have to ask for money, but we’ll do it honestly and humbly: John’s work is funded by small online donations. Will you consider making one today?
Seriously, John has been crystal-clear from Day One of running for U.S. Senate that we will NOT allow our campaign to lie or use scare tactics in our online fundraising emails.
We’ll never trick you into a recurring donation or act like the sky is falling if you don’t give. In fact, every deadline we share is a real fundraising deadline that is either set by our finance team or by the Federal Election Commission.
What we *will* do is explain how important your support is + give you the opportunity to chip in when you can. (If you don’t today, that’s 💯 cool with us.)
After all, $3 might not always feel like much. But the fact is that John would never have defeated Dr. Oz, flipped PA blue, and became a U.S. Senator if it weren’t for many thousands of $3 donations. That’s how powerful just a few bucks can be.
We have so much work still to do, John. We need to take on extreme Republican attacks on basic freedoms, defend our Democratic majority + rally support for popular legislation that actually helps working people. And all of that is going to require serious grassroots resources.
