Did you see Julie’s email, friend?

As the future of abortion medication hangs in the balance of our courts, Texans are being sued for helping a friend obtain abortion medication. Even worse? Right-wing politicians who banned abortion in Texas are leading the charge.

Ground Game Texas is leading a ballot initiative that would punish people who bring frivolous lawsuits like these against patients receiving abortion care. AND It would decriminalize abortion—meaning no Texan could be harassed by police for getting abortion medication.

It’s critical we pass this initiative. Can you chip in $25, or whatever you can afford, to help us fight back against the assault on abortion rights in Texas? [[link removed]]

Texans support abortion rights. Let’s show right-wing politicians that we’re ready to fight back.

It’s happening, team.

The Texas Tribune is reporting : three Texas women are being sued for helping a friend obtain abortion medication—and the lawyers suing them helped draft Texas’s abortion ban.

This is a big deal, team. First Republicans passed a ban on abortion care in Texas. Now they’re trying to punish anyone who seeks, or helps others seek, abortion medication. But Ground Game Texas is fighting back—here’s how:

Our latest ballot initiative would decriminalize abortion care, meaning no Texan could be harassed by police or face criminal charges for getting abortion medication. It would also punish people who bring frivolous civil lawsuits against patients receiving abortion care.

But we need your help to pass it. Can you chip in $15, $20, or whatever you can afford, to help us decriminalize abortion in Texas? [[link removed]]

Team, abortion medication is the most common method for ending a pregnancy in the United States. That’s why right-wing lawmakers are doing everything they can to punish those who seek abortion medication, including in Texas.

But Ground Game Texas is working on decriminalizing abortion and ending these civil suits. Our latest ballot initiative would ensure no taxpayer resources are used to criminalize abortion care — and it would punish those who bring frivolous civil suits on abortion care.

We’re up against some powerful, wealthy forces. But we have the power of people—people like you. Can you chip in whatever you can afford to help us decriminalize abortion in Texas? This fight is so important. [[link removed]]
