Following the 2016 election, Democrats were out of the White House, and in the minority in both the House and Senate. President Trump and Republicans immediately enacted a travel ban from Muslim-majority countries, sought to repeal the Affordable Care Act , and installed industry cronies like Scott Pruitt at the Environmental Protection Agency and corporate figureheads at other government agencies.

It was among the most challenging times I had served in the Senate.

And today, you can choose to become a part of the movement to help us fight back.

It’s been a long road, and we couldn’t have gotten to where we are today without the support of folks like you.

In 2017, we flipped New Jersey’s governor’s seat blue. Then the next year, we flipped four House seats across the state, winning 11 of 12 possible races, and won back the U.S. House majority.

The support of this grassroots team helped us put an immediate check on the Trump administration, and paved the way for 2020 — when I was re-elected to the Senate, we flipped the Senate blue, and elected Joe Biden as president.

But our work wasn’t done, and folks like you helped us keep going.

Our momentum helped us protect the New Jersey governor’s mansion in 2021, with the first Democrat to win re-election in over 40 years, and we expanded our Senate majority in 2022.

Which brings us to today — more judicial confirmations than in any administration this millennium, and the implementation of laws to rebuild our infrastructure, invest in renewable energy, make our communities safer from gun violence, and lower the price of prescription drugs.

Running a campaign like ours is an expensive and challenging endeavor. Even more so when we turn away contributions from executives in industries like Big Pharma, fossil fuel, and their corporate lobbyists — contributions that many of my Republican colleagues accept, and use to campaign against our progress.

That’s why I’m grateful to have you on this team, John. If we’re going to make the big changes this country needs on voting rights, climate change, health care, wages, student debt, and protecting Medicare and Social Security, I need you to stay a part of this fight.

Thanks to your support, I have been able to travel the country rallying support for Democrats up and down the ballot, and we’ve had a lot of success to show for it.

But Senate Republicans blocking voting rights legislation, combined with brutal GOP gerrymanders after the 2020 Census, means that we have to defend our Senate majority, the White House, and flip the House of Representatives in 2024 to keep our progress going.
