The media thinks DeSantis is the next GOP standard bearer. I’m using the loosest possible definition of “standard” here.

Don’t buy it. Whenever you hear anyone repeat the moderate DeSantis lie, remember this:

Ronald Dion DeSantis is a completely unserious leader. He spews Kremlin talking points and scores cheap red-meat political wins off society’s most vulnerable. 

Let him enjoy the peak of his political career. Trump will eventually wipe him out faster than DeSantis wolfs down a cup of pudding. (There seems to be a pattern with American authoritarians and bad manners). And in July 2024, DeSantis will bow his head to the dear leader and accept his mid-tier GOP convention speaking spot. 

Yes, DeSantis is a fool and it’ll be a real joy to watch the bottom fall out of his campaign. But right now, his conniving catering to the deranged whims of the MAGA movement means that we have to pay attention to him.

He’s backing strongmen and attacking drag queens, supporting Putin’s warmongering and undermining democracy at home.

This is the way of DeSantis and any candidate who is a contender in the 2024 GOP primary. We called out that dangerous nonsense in our latest ad. Make sure you watch and share it with everyone you know, especially those who believe the moderate DeSantis lie.

The next year will be Trump and DeSantis volleying back and forth increasingly extremist policies. The end result? A 2024 GOP platform that cuts funding to Ukraine and supports Marjorie Taylor Greene’s civil war. 

The battle between DeSantis and Trump will take us there. And the pro-democracy coalition has to be ready.
