The House Republican Caucus is working hard to represent the best interests of the State of Hawaii. This week was filled with committee meetings and floor debates. A controversial bill crossed over from the senate to the House. SB1 relating to abortion was a hot topic this week. Our legislators fought valiantly in favor of life!
This week Representatives Ward and Alcos participated in a Safe Streets rally at the Capitol, honoring those who have recently been victims of traffic accidents and calling for safer roads for all. 
Rep. Alcos hosted his first Town Hall this past week where he invited all of his community to discuss issues important to them and give his legislative update. 
Rep. Elijah Pierick went to Kaleiopuu Elementary School and read to the students. It was a great time of community engagement and laughter for everyone.
On behalf of the Villages of Kapolei Association, Rep. Garcia would like to express his sincere gratitude to all the volunteers who participated in the annual community cleanup. Your hard work and dedication to keeping the community clean and beautiful are truly appreciated.
Representative Alcos participated in the AARP Community Policing event in his community. He was joined by Mayor Rick Blangiardi and several other community leaders.
Representative Elijah Pierick was in the news advocating for his residents in Ewa (Hoopili). A housing developer promised that power lines would be underground, however, overhead power lines are going up instead. Rep. Elijah Pierick reached out to both the developer and HECO asking them to keep their promise to keep the power lines underground.
