Friday File

Happy

St. Patrick’s

Day!

☘️

This week was busy and heavily focused on getting the 2023 KSGOP Budget out to the Budget Committee and the Executive Committee, making the tour to talk with local, statewide and national audiences, and of course the working the basics of the processes and procedures of the daily operations of running the Kansas Republican Party.

I also had the opportunity to do some further outreach and relationship repair and building. Some of things I work on are private and shouldn’t be blasted out across the fruited plains. This is definitely one of those instances and you know if this references you; Thank you for demonstrating and living your commitment to KSGOP.

Together we are so much stronger.

Last Thursday night I spoke to the Johnson County Young Republicans. It was a great turnout and I shared the stage with the Johson County Republican Party Chair, Maria Holiday, and Kansas CD3 Chair, Wendy Bingesser. The information we provided was valuable and well received. It was great to be with these amazing Republicans!

Last Friday, our Executive Director, Dakotah Parshall, put on his chores-clothes and joined me in Topeka cleaning out a bunch of clutter, trash and junk in the KSGOP storage facility. What now remains is all useable and when we move our office in April (tentative date!) the storage facility will go away - and so will the unnecessary expense!

Saturday I attended the Sunflower Republican Club in Johnson County and then had a meeting with a party donor. Both were time well-spent!

On Monday morning I was a guest on American Sunrise (Real America’s Voice network) with Ed Henry and Karyn Turk. The interview was great and we got the message out about what the new KSGOP truly is and what we are going to accomplish! I had emails and private messages of congratulations and appreciation from across the USA thanking me for being a passionate leader with a plan, vision and clear message of…

Bold
Conservative Republican
Leadership Wins!

There have been many hours spent in preparation of the KSGOP 2023 budget. It was a lot of work to build from scratch because, at least in recent history, no other leadership team has built, submitted, received approval or apparently used a budget to guide the organization. I am a businessman and we now have a budget which is a super-basic principle of sound business management. The KSGOP is no longer only a social club… we are a business-like organization and our product is candidate support and WINNINGelections.

You are about to see some really great things coming from KSGOP that are visionary and innovative. The absolute bottom line is this; if we want a different outcome in our elections then we must do something different in the planning and the process.

True leadership - and further changes - are coming soon!

On Wednesday morning I was invited by Kansas State Representative Adam Thomas to join him on the floor of the Kansas House of Representatives while they were voting.

It was great to be on the floor with so many great Kansas Republicans and the welcome I received there was very warm. I watched carefully as they worked to pass House Substitute for Senate Bill 83 (H Sub for SB83) in a vote of 64-61. School choice where the money follows the child and where parents have much more input into what their children are exposed to and taught is nothing but good and certainly falls neatly under the KSGOP party plank of freedom.

This week I worked diligently with the Kansas Republican Congressional District Chairs to finalize nominations and selections to the KSGOP standing committees of Budget, Rules, Platform and Resolutions.

The list of appointments will be released very soon. Stay tuned!

Until next week, be safe while celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and have a relaxing basketball-filled weekend!
