Save Women’s Sports Act Passes 1st Hurdle in Long Legislative Process Today!

Last Session the Texas Legislature passed protections for UIL Sports, to keep biological males out of females' sports. It’s time to pass the same protections at the college level!

With the support of Governor Abbott, Lt. Governor Patrick and over 77 co-sponsors in the Texas House we are confident passing the Save Women’s Sport Act is a matter of “when”, not “if” this Session.

Numerous members of the Texas Values team testified in favor of SB 15 – the Save Women's Sports bill by Senator Mayes Middleton. Female athlete Riley Gaines also testified in favor of SB 15. Click here to WATCH her incredible testimony.

The Senate State Affairs Committee voted 7-3 in favor of SB 15 today, March 16, and it now will be scheduled for a vote by the full Senate.

A huge thank you to Senator Mayes Middleton and Representative Valoree Swanson for authoring the Save Women’s Sports Act!

88th Legislative Session Updates

Tom Oliverson have filed identical bills to ban the radical and harmful practice of gender modification surgeries and treatments on children in both the Texas Senate and Texas House. 'Gender Identity' & 'Erasing Women' Bills Filed.
There is also a greater focus on bills filed giving special rights based on gender identity that could basically erase women from athletic opportunities and threaten their privacy. There are at least two bills that would address a person being able to change their sex on their birth certificate. Find out more here.

President Jonathan Saenz Interviews Two Special Guests on This Week's Texas Values Report!

"The NCAA official looks at (Lia) Thomas and says 'Great job, you guys tied. We have one trophy—the trophy goes to Thomas...we have to give this trophy to Lia for photo purposes, you can pose with this one but you will give it back. You will go home empty-handed, Lia takes the trophy.'"
Riley Gaines

We're just trying to take advantage of every day...to make an impact to improve the lives of Texans, to maximize individual liberty, freedom and protect the most vulnerable among us...that's obviously our children."
