Yesterday the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters hosted a rally at the Minnesota Capitol to advocate for the passage of the Minnesota State Boundary Waters Permanent Protection bill, featuring climate activist & polar explorer Will Steger. Over one hundred citizens, legislators, and advocates from all areas of the state gathered at the Minnesota Capitol and called on Minnesota’s elected officials to protect the Boundary Waters from the pernicious threat of proposed sulfide-ore copper mining. Grant amounts range between $1,000-$3,000.
