Get ready for boating season

Boater safety card

Hey boaters!

Now is the time to get your boater education card if you plan to get out on the water this summer. The Washington State Mandatory Boating Safety Education law currently requires boaters ages 12 years or older to earn their Washington Boater Education Card before operating a motorized vessel of 15 horsepower or greater.

Visit BoaterEd.Org [ [link removed] ] to learn more about the Boater Education Card and how you can get one. If you need to get your boater education card, or order a replacement, be sure to allow 4-6 weeks to receive your card!

Are you a paddler? Before heading out on a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard, take some time to familiarize yourself with safety practices [ [link removed] ] and required equipment.

*Landowners, partners bridge Palouse to Cascades Trail gap between Ralston, Marengo*

Cow Creek

Now through Oct. 31 Palouse to Cascades Trail users can avoid a 19-mile road detour by taking the new Cow Creek Trestle Bypass!

The seasonal route may be used by hikers, cyclists and equestrians connecting on the Palouse to Cascades Trail. (No camping, hunting, wood-gathering, fishing or fires.)

Please respect private property and steer clear of cattle so we can continue to work with the generous landowners and trail partners to provide you this awesome connection!

Learn about the trail and bypass by visiting our website [ [link removed] ].?
