Act now to protect unionizing nurses!

Yesterday, March 15, 2023 a couple of hours after George Washington University Hospital (GWUH) nurses filed a petition to have an election to unionize with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) the hospital leadership unlawfully suspended nurse leader Angelo Estrellas. Angelo dutifully cared for patients at GWUH for more than 10 years and is being targeted for his alleged involvement in the union organizing campaign. ?

This retaliatory tactic by management is a violation of the National Labor Relations Act, as it directly aims at severing the efforts of workers to collectively organize a union at their workplace. We stand in solidarity with Angelo and demand that management immediately rescind any disciplinary action against him and allow him to resume his duties.
