Read, enjoy, and share 5 wildlife news stories.John,
As many of us have seen on the news, Australia’s people and wildlife have been
tormented by seemingly unending wildfires that have scorched the country. With
our friends in our thoughts, we are reminded of last summer’s devastating fires
in the western United States and how climate change was a key factor in why
fires burned so intensely and for so long.
The National Wildlife Federation has worked diligently to address the causes of
these devastating fires here at home—seeking to protect the communities and
wildlife we hold dear. As you will read in our wonderful stories, restoring
wildlife habitat is just one way we can take climate action and improve our
communities’ resilience to climate-fueled disasters.
Enjoy,
