Yesterday, we passed the Protect and Advance Democracy Act (SF 2270) out of the Elections Committee in the Senate! Next up is a vote in the House Elections Committee, and we need you to show up just like you did yesterday. The hearing will be NEXT Friday, March 17, and we're thrilled to announce that Alaska Congresswoman Mary Peltola will be joining us in person to testify and rally with us!

Now is the moment! As the Protect and Advance Democracy Act moves through each step in the legislative process, your presence and voice are critical to help us pass this democracy-advancing bill out of committee, off the House and Senate floor and to the desk of the Governor, who is eager to sign the bill!
The updated bill establishes a task force to develop standards, procedures and timeline for implementing RCV in Minnesota’s state and federal primary and general elections and allows local jurisdictions to adopt RCV if they wish. If passed, the legislation will set Minnesota on a course to be the first state in the nation to bring RCV statewide through legislative action!
You can be part of this historic progress by joining us for both events at the Capitol on March 17! [[link removed]] Congresswoman Mary Peltola –– the first official elected statewide under Alaska’s new ranked-choice system and the first Alaska Native and first woman to represent her home state in the U.S. House –– will testify at the hearing and headline the Capitol Rally.
