City Council Meeting on March 14 is Canceled

The City Council meeting on March 14 is canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for March 28 at 6:30 p.m. Agendas are posted the Friday before each meeting by 4 p.m.

Hurstview Dr. Closure - beginning March 13

Full asphalt reconstruction will begin on Hurstview Dr. from Womack Ct. to Norwood Dr. on March 13 and is expected to be complete by April 1. This entire portion of Hurstview Dr. will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road will open back up in the evenings and remain open during the weekends, with the exception of March 18.

*The general scope of work being done:*
In week 1, the base will be mixed with treated concrete and compacted.
In week 2, the base layer of asphalt will be added to the road.
In week 3, the top layer of asphalt will be added.

We appreciate your patience and ask drivers to seek an alternate route when traveling through this area.

Citizens Police Academy

The next Citizens Police Academy begins Thursday, March 30, 2023. This is an excellent program for attendees to learn more about the Hurst Police Department and become ambassadors of goodwill to the community. Each applicant must be at least 21, live, work, or attend a church in the City of Hurst, and pass a background investigation. Applications must be turned in no later than Friday, March 24, 2023, by 5 p.m. To successfully graduate, each participant is required to attend at least 8 of the 10 sessions.
