MSNBC host Rachel Maddow chastised senators unable to stay awake, focus, or otherwise be present for the impeachment trials. She called on them to set a better example of civic duty, take their jobs seriously, and listen to the case being presented before them.
Republicans aren’t listening, though. Mitch McConnell and the Senate GOP have repeatedly not taken the trial seriously, dismissing it before it began. They do TV interviews while the trial is in session and have flaunted their bias toward the president.
