Facial recognition technology is fundamentally flawed, systemically
biased, and disproportionately targets Black and brown communities that
are already over-surveilled and over-policed.

That’s why this week, I joined my colleagues, Reps. Pramila Jayapal and
Rashida Tlaib and Senators Ed Markey, Jeff Merkley, Bernie Sanders,
Elizabeth Warren, and Ron Wyden, in reintroducing urgent legislation to
ban government use of biometric surveillance systems, including facial
recognition technology.

No government should be using faulty technology that perpetuates
injustice.

government from using biometric surveillance technology?

Passing this legislation means affirming the right of every person to live
free from unjust and discriminatory surveillance by the government and law
enforcement.

on now to make your voice heard and support my legislation to stop
government use of facial recognition and biometric surveillance
technology.

In solidarity,
