Friends, last year Democrats DEFIED history by not only defending our razor-thin Senate majority but also expanding it.
The 2024 map isn’t stacked in our favor. But if our Democratic scientists Jacky Rosen, Tammy Baldwin, and Martin Heinrich win their races, we’ll be in a good position to defend our majority for another 2-4 years!
That’s why we’re asking if you’ll commit to donating $3 on the 3rd to re-elect 3 of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats in America. Below, we’ll tell you more about how they made history and the state of their race.
Jacky Rosen (Nevada) – Jacky Rosen was the first-ever Senate candidate our organization supported. She was the first Democratic challenger to flip a Senate seat from red to blue in 2018’s Blue Wave and became the FIRST ever computer programmer in the history of the Senate.
In the Senate, Jacky has been a champion for science, STEM education (especially for girls), the environment, and was a leader in the fight to drive down insulin and prescription drug costs.
Republicans won Nevada’s Governor race last year and almost ousted fellow Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto but fell short by just less than 0.9% of the vote. Senate control could once again be decided here in Nevada by the slimmest margins.
Tammy Baldwin (Wisconsin) – Tammy Baldwin, who has a background in mathematics, made history as the first LGBTQ woman ever elected to both the House and the Senate in U.S. history. She then went on to co-found the first-ever LGBTQ Equality Caucus in Congress.
As a child, Tammy suffered a serious illness resulting in her being one of the tens of millions of Americans who found it nearly impossible to be insured because of their pre-existing condition. This inspired her to champion protections for those with pre-existing conditions and the ability for children to be on their parents’ plans until they turn 26. She’s also been a leading force in the Senate to allow those 55-64 to buy into Medicare, which would help cover tens of millions of at-risk Americans.
Republicans won Wisconsin’s Senate race last November by 1% and her race is expected to be decided by the most razor-thin margins. She’ll need our help to pull off another win in this perennial battleground state.
Martin Heinrich (New Mexico) – Martin Heinrich is a mechanical engineer who worked his way through college both cooking pizzas and working at a nuclear reactor to afford tuition.
In the Senate, Martin is one of the leading voices on clean and renewable energy policies, a fierce advocate of America’s public lands and environmental protection, and his bipartisan track record includes spending a week with a Republican Senator on a remote island with virtually no supplies to prove the two parties can still work together to get things done.
Last November, New Mexico’s statewide contests were well within single digits and many expect it to be much more closer and competitive during a Presidential election year.
We can’t defend our majority if we lose Jacky, Tammy, or Martin. That’s why we’re asking for just $3 to re-elect 3 of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats in America on the 3rd day of the month.
