John — I’m tired of waiting.

Without immediate action, roughly 300,000 North Carolina residents will lose access to their health care coverage unless Republicans move NOW to pass Medicaid expansion.

A federal pandemic relief measure will expire this year, and immediate action is needed to make sure our neighbors who depend on this program do not lose access — and to expand access to even more residents.

We’re closer than we’ve ever been to passing expansion. Republican legislative leaders recently came to an agreement to make it happen. But I won’t mince words — we can’t afford to wait a minute longer. Lives are on the line.

I know you are just as fed up as I am. Expanding Medicaid this month needs to be a priority for our state.

We need to make our voices heard together — loud and clear.
