Learn more about what my office has been up to this week Dear john, Congress was in session this week, and I was glad to spend time meeting with some local leaders who were visiting Washington. It is always a joy to see members of our community in the halls of Congress! If you or your family ever visit our nation's capital, please consider stopping by our office or requesting a tour from us-we would be honored to help show you around! On Wednesday, Eli Lilly made headlines with their announcement that they will reduce the price of its most commonly prescribed insulins. This decision is a direct result of the work Senator Warnock and I did in Congress to make insulin affordable for seniors on Medicare. I am proud that this decision will expand on our program to cap monthly out-of-pocket costs to $35 a month or less. You can view some comments from me by clicking the tweet image below. Eugene is celebrating 50 years of flight service this year. As a 30 year Delta flight attendant myself, it was an honor to celebrate his legacy! Pictured above: Rep. McBath with Eugene Harmond and his family on the steps of the U.S. Capitol On Friday, my office announced the launch of my FY 2024 federal funding requests. One of the most important elements of my job is advocating for our district and ensuring that federal resources are coming back home to meet the needs of our community. If you have a Community Project Funding or Programmatic request for Fiscal Year 2024, please visit my Federal Funding Request page at mcbath.house.gov/federal-funding. Thank you for taking the time to read this update. It is my honor to serve our community in Congress. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office.
