John, last week
we called on activists around the world to join our call to stop The East
African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP).

Thanks to supporters like you, our Global Day of Action to stop EACOP was
a huge success. Here’s a look back on this historic day, by the numbers:

🌍 19 cities where supporters hosted public actions.
📝 41,000 signatures on our letter to Standard Bank and SMBC.
👀 34,000 views on our video explaining why we must stop EACOP.

We’re so thankful for everyone who took part in our Global Day of Action.
As a grassroots movement, it is going to take all of us doing our part to
stop these banks from funding EACOP, which would displace thousands of
people living in Uganda and Tanzania and cause irreversible damage to the
environment.

Our work isn’t done yet,
John. Our Global Day of Action
put powerful pressure on Standard Bank and SMBC, but we still need them to
formally withdraw their financial support for this pipeline. There are
many powerful ways you can support our movement to stop EACOP, including:

1. Signing our petition to Standard Bank and SMBC
urging them to drop EACOP.

2. Sharing our recap video on Twitter or Instagram to help us spread the
word and build support for our movement.

Everyone has an important role to play in our fight to stop EACOP. We hope
we can count on your support today.
