Friend,
America’s servicemembers and their families make countless sacrifices for our security and freedom. In turn, we have a responsibility to take care of them.
That’s why I’m working across the aisle to support military families by helping our country’s talented military spouses access the widest-possible range of work opportunities.
When members of the military move for new assignments, their partners can struggle to find new work. So we’re fighting to give them more career opportunities, wherever they might be.
This week, I was proud to introduce the bipartisan Military Spouse Hiring Act, legislation to incentivize businesses to hire military spouses.
Do you agree that we should work to support the families of those who sacrifice to protect our nation? Add your name today as a co-sponsor of my bipartisan effort to support military families in Virginia and across the country.
As a member of the Armed Services Committee, a Senator from one of the states most closely connected to the military, and the father of a Marine, I’ve fought to support military families for years, from expanding career and hiring opportunities for military spouses to providing more family wellness programs on military bases.

But military spouse employment is still the top issue facing active-duty military families and the top contributor to financial stress among military families, according to a recent survey.
So I’m committed to working with my colleagues from across the aisle to improve opportunities for those whose loved ones are fighting for our country’s security.
Through this legislation, we can expand the Work Opportunity Tax Credit program, which incentivizes employers to hire individuals who experience unique employment barriers, to include military spouses. It would be a BIG help towards lessening the financial burdens facing some military families.
But with our divided Congress, I need to know if I can count on this grassroots team as we fight for this important legislation.
Friend, are you with me in the fight to support our military families by helping military spouses find good-paying jobs?
We have a real duty to support the families of the people defending our country, and this is one part of that fight.
Thanks for your support,
