Today, Serve America endorsed Congressman Ruben Gallego to be the next Senator from Arizona. Serve America was founded by Congressman Seth Moulton to help elect more Democratic national service veterans in the toughest races across America.
Serve America supports national service veterans because we believe the ethics of service that come from tours in the military, State Department, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, or other national service organizations is sorely needed in Washington today.
Successful Serve America candidates played a leading role in taking back the House for Democrats in 2018 and holding a slim majority in 2020. In the 2022 midterms, 20 Serve-endorsed candidates, including 15 incumbents, won tough races and are now serving in the 118th Congress.
“Serve America is committed to electing Democratic leaders who have a deep commitment to service,” said Moulton. “We believe that it’s leaders who embody this ethos who are ultimately the ones who are willing to demonstrate political courage, and make the toughest decisions on behalf of their constituents—and their country.
“Ruben’s strong track record serving his country needs little explanation. As a fellow Marine Corps veteran, he put his life on the line in Iraq where his unit took horrific casualties. He continues to dedicate his work to important national security and veterans’ issues here in Washington and at home in Arizona.
“The Senate needs more people who understand sacrifice and service like Ruben does. I’m proud to endorse Ruben Gallego as the next U.S. Senator from Arizona.”
Congressman Moulton and his Serve America PAC raised over $2.5 million for Democratic candidates in the last election cycle.
