Hi there —

First of all, I want to thank you for opening this email. I know you’re about to log off and enjoy your weekend, so I’m truly grateful for your time — promise I won’t take up too much of it.

I’m reaching out today because my campaign just let me know that our fundraising has been slower than usual these last few weeks. You know, that’s to be expected around this time in the election cycle — we’re in what’s known as an “off-year,” so fundraising might not seem so urgent.

However, this is the perfect time to tap into our grassroots power. Because of your support, I’ve been able to make progress on the issues that matter most for everyday Americans and have critical conversations with our community while I’m at home in Wake County. Though it may not seem like it, we’re building our foundation for a better future right now.

Just this month, WakeMed — a nonprofit hospital system in our state — got the green light to build two new hospitals, with one focused on behavioral and mental health. That’s thanks to the $6 million in federal funding I fought for — and it’s the type of progress I’ll keep pushing for.

I look forward to fighting for more meaningful change at every opportunity, but I can’t do it alone — I need your support. If we want to protect the progress that is threatened in the face of a GOP-led House, now is the time to build up our resources.

So, can you chip in $10 or more to this grassroots campaign before the weekend? Every dollar goes to work in fighting for the needs of our communities.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I’m so grateful for everything you do. Thanks for being a part of this grassroots team.
