1. NC VALUES: 🚨 This will save 26,000+ babies a year.

We are raising the alarm, and need your help. We urgently call on all pro-life supporters of our coalition to take action that helps us save over 26,000 babies in North Carolina per year! In the next few days the NC legislature will decide what legislation will be put forward to limit abortion. This decision is being made in Republican caucuses behind closed doors, and the pro-life movement in North Carolina needs to act NOW, before a bill is filed.

JOIN US AT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR OUR TWO LEGISLATIVE DAYS OF ACTION <[link removed]>TUESDAY (FEBRUARY 28) AND WEDNESDAY (MARCH 1) to speak with legislators face-to-face about saving as many unborn babies as possible.

2. NEWS & OBSERVER: NC House GOP revives anti-CRT bill, saying it will promote ‘equality in education’

"North Carolina Republican lawmakers are reviving an effort to pass an anti-Critical Race Theory bill that was vetoed in 2021 by Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper. House Bill 187, titled “Equality in Education,” was filed on Thursday and says public schools can’t “promote” concepts such as the idea that “one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex” or that “an individual, solely by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive.” It also says teachers shall not promote that anyone “should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish or any other form of psychological distress” based on their race or sex."

3. NORTH STATE JOURNAL: WATSON: Yes, wokeness is lowering the quality of North Carolina’s health care

“UNC’s mandated curriculum is even more blatantly political. One required textbook teaches medical students to see social determinants of health through the ‘intersectional studies of health disparity and inequality, disability, science and technology, sexualities, narrative in medicine, gender identity and expression, race and ethnicity, and disability.’”

4. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Legislators want to intervene in federal lawsuit targeting abortion pill rules

“Legislative leaders filed a motion Tuesday to take part in a federal lawsuit challenging North Carolina’s restrictions on abortion pills. Lawmakers took that step after N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein announced he would not defend state law in the case.” Current NC law states a doctor must be present to administer the first pill.

Weekly Prayer: NC Officials

LORD, you also have instructed us to pray for our governing officials, and we come to you in the spirit of this petition. We pray for our state government and its executive, legislative, and judicial servants. May they indeed be servants unto the people, and govern in a manner that protects liberty and virtue. In the same spirit, we pray for public servants across our local governments. May they all heed your mandate in Romans 13:4 to be in positions of authority as "God's servant" and for the "good" of the public. They govern in what we confess are difficult times. May they plead with you to give them wisdom, and may your grace to govern wisely be poured out on them.

Protect us from the oppression and loss of freedoms that other countries have experienced, and help us to value and preserve freedom, which we know comes only from You.

"I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt.  I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free." Acts 7:34

Amen
