Tina for Oregon

John,

One of my top priorities as Governor is to make sure that when an Oregonian is ready to seek help for a mental health concern or substance use, that help is easy to find and available — no matter where they live or what they can afford.

That was my message when I visited Douglas County last week as part of my One Oregon Listening Tour. I met with teachers, local leaders who are helping address homelessness, and mental health providers.

One of the pillars of my mission-focused budget recommendation is improving access to mental health and addiction services. These are important investments that will disrupt the harmful and expensive homelessness-jail-hospital pipeline, save lives by funding crisis prevention systems and addiction treatment services, and support Oregon’s essential behavioral health workers.

But passing a mission-focused budget through the Oregon State Legislature and making big improvements to our mental health system will take a lot of work, and I need your help.

I’m focused on ensuring Oregonians see action — real action — that makes a difference in their everyday lives. If you agree, please add your name to this petition supporting my budget priorities, including investments in a mental health and addiction treatment system that will lead to hope, healing and recovery.

No matter who you are, where you live, or what you can pay, you are not alone.

Mental health challenges and substance abuse are struggles that too many Oregonians, their families, and their communities have faced alone. As your Governor, I promise that we will not leave you behind.

Thank you for having my back,

Tina
