Hey, as the Senate begins the trial in earnest with House Democrats currently presenting their arguments now, Mitch McConnell is sitting back grinning, knowing he's already stacked the deck in Trump's favor. The rules of the trial make it so that testimony from each side is limited to three days AND allows senators to object to admitting the House's evidence into the trial, necessitating a majority vote. He's given wavering Republicans multiple outs so they can vote the party line and dismiss charges without hearing from witnesses or presenting new evidence.
