Real quick:

The Supreme Court has turned down a House Democrats-led motion to consider the GOP's challenge to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Obama's crowning legislative achievement.

Late last year, a federal appeals court ruled that the individual mandate -- the backbone of the law -- was unconstitutional and referred the case back to the lower courts to rule whether the law could stand without it. This comes after the Supreme Court already ruled that the individual mandate IS constitutional, throwing the entire law's future into chaos.

The GOP has repeatedly tried to trash the ACA before going as far as shutting down the federal government in 2013 and trying to repeal it in 2017 with no replacement, but all of their efforts have failed when Americans made their voices heard and demanded it stay.

But this lawsuit could gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions without taking the will of the people into account, so we need to know how engaged Democrats feel about this law before Trump can do more damage to it:
