This Presidents’ Day, it’s clear how much strain has been put on the presidency since 2017. Donald Trump stretched the office out of shape, abusing his power for personal and political ends, trying to enrich his own businesses, and defying our tradition of a peaceful transfer of power.
What a relief President Biden has been after those tumultuous four years. Not only is he returning dignity and honor to the office, but he’s been one of the most effective presidents we can remember. In just two years, he:
- Created 12 million jobs
- Brought back American manufacturing
- Led a historic infrastructure revitalization
- Spearheaded the largest ever investment in combating climate change
- Lowered the cost of insulin for those on Medicare
- Reached the lowest unemployment rate in half a century
- Somehow found time during his State of the Union address to get a commitment from Republicans that they won’t cut Medicare or Social Security
What a guy.
