As for the reasons I’m reaching out right now…

First, I’m eager to take on the Republican House majority. In their first weeks of governing they’ve shown their priorities – by introducing bills that would restrict women’s access to safe, legal abortion and that would help the wealthy tax cheats get away with fraud.

Social Security, Medicare, climate protections, reproductive rights, access to quality and affordable health care, the list goes on. Republicans have no interest in doing a single thing to protect them.

Second, we have an important goal to reach by midnight. And frankly, I’d be lying if I said that this goal wasn’t ambitious. With just a day’s notice, I’m counting on our strongest supporters to help me raise what we need to keep our campaign running strong.

I know what you might be thinking, too – “Morgan, didn’t we just have a fundraising goal at the end of January?” We did, but consistency is key when it comes to keeping up the fight against the far-right Republican House Majority.

After all, I can guarantee you that Speaker McCarthy has no intention of slowing down his fundraising efforts to help embolden the GOP’s radical agenda.

I’ve seen this team step up in ways that people said weren’t possible. You helped me win this race for Congress and give Louisville progressive representation that they can count on. So, I know there’s nothing stopping us from reaching this goal.
