We were all shocked, saddened, and angered last year by the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn 50 years of settled constitutional doctrine in Roe v. Wade.

Let me be clear: It was the wrong decision -- a radical choice that contradicted decades of precedent. The decision infringes on basic privacy rights and has already begun to put women’s lives in danger.

In the months since the decision, we have seen just how necessary the protections of Roe v. Wade were, as many states are imposing radical abortion bans -- even in cases of rape or incest.

There is no question, this is a targeted attack on women's fundamental rights.

I am working with colleagues from both sides of the aisle to find common ground on a bipartisan compromise that would restore Roe’s key protections.

The Reproductive Freedom For All Act is much-needed legislation to protect a woman’s freedom to choose. It would prohibit states from passing extreme abortion bans and would protect access to contraceptives. It’s a clear step forward that would lock in protections that women relied on for 50 years.

So, friend, I want to know if you're with me in this fight.
