Dear John,
It was nice to be back in Minnesota for a district work week! Here are a few things I’ve been working on recently.
One of my top priorities is to fight for free and fair elections. Unfortunately, we've seen a troubling trend in liberal cities of granting the right to vote to illegal immigrants. On the House floor, I spoke against D.C.'s attempt to dilute voting rights by extending them to illegal aliens. Citizens, not illegals, have the right to vote. That is why I voted in favor of H.J. Res. 24, which would nullify the D.C. law. It’s important to speak against legislation like expanding voting rights to illegal aliens. We can’t let this radical idea continue to spread.
On Tuesday, I joined Mark Fyten and Steve VanSlooten on 960AM KTLF radio in Little Falls. We talked about my committee assignments, the work that House Republicans are doing to implement our Commitment to America, and my recent visit to the Ag Bowl at Southwest Minnesota State University.
