John,
Last week we told you about the Trump-appointed judge who will soon rule in a case that could lead to a backdoor ban on medication abortion care. That case is still pending, but we do have some good news.
Your state attorney general signed on to a brief filed in this case that urges the court not to ban mifepristone, one of two medications typically used in medication abortion care. Their support is crucial—will you join us in thanking them for supporting reproductive freedom?

Democratic attorneys general across the country argued that removing federal approval of this medication would "drastically reduce access to safe abortion care and miscarriage management for millions of people" in their states. And they're right!
The stakes of this case are incredibly high—medication abortion is the most common method of abortion in the country. It's more accessible for people who don't have access to in-person care and less expensive than other methods of abortion. Mifepristone has been available since the FDA approved it more than 20 years ago and it has a safety record of over 99%, making it safer than Tylenol.
NARAL and our four million members are ready to act no matter what the judge in this case decides. But for right now, let's say thank you to our AGs for fighting for our rights. [[link removed]]
