Did you catch Stuart’s piece yesterday absolutely eviscerating Nikki Haley?

Listen, I love a good takedown of anyone from the Trump circle. I really do. To the point of literally founding an organization that is dedicated to doing it on a daily basis. (Isn’t it fun? It’s fun).

And Stuart’s right on every single point. Haley is morally bankrupt. A MAGA wannabe who would saw off her own arm if it got her a shot at the Oval Office (hey, there’s a long primary campaign ahead of us, so all options are on the table). 

But here’s the main point that I want to get across: Nikki Haley doesn’t matter. 

She has as much of a chance of being the Queen of Genovia than President of the United States. (Yes, I did just reference the Princess Diaries to make fun of Nikki Haley). 

Her candidacy and any of the others that follow are just auditions to be Trump’s VP lackey in the general election. (Sorry not sorry to Mike Pence, who will have to stay home with Mother this time around).

The ballgame has been and always will be this: it’s all about Donald Trump and his MAGA movement. As long as that spray tanned-heart continues to thump in his chest, he will continue to own the Republican Party. That’s why we need your help to beat him. 

Now, here’s what’s going to happen before the primaries start. Every time Haley or another D- list candidate rises to the five percentage point mark in a poll, the media is going to declare that candidate the so-called savior of the Republican Party. Really, the imagery they want is Ronald Reagan riding in on a white stallion, holding a javelin made from the Constitution for good measure. 

When they do this, I want you to repeat after me: It DOESN’T MATTER. 

The media continues to fatally misunderstand the fact that Trump owns the Republican Party. Let them make that mistake. We’ll be here, continuing to fight and grow our pro-democracy movement. Then, when the general election arrives, we’ll send Trump back to the Mar-A-Lago buffet line where he belongs.
