FACT: The 1994 Assault Weapons Ban (that the GOP let expire) resulted in
nearly a 10% drop in gun murders in the United States.

FACT: Within ten years of its passage, the Assault Weapons Ban reduced the
usage of assault weapons in crimes by nearly 70% (!).

FACT: When assault weapons are used they are disproportionately used for
mass shootings with scores of victimes where police are more likely to be
victims as well.

FACT: Nearly 40% of police departments reported a SPIKE in the use of
assault weapons after the GOP let the ban expire.
