John,
Now we have proof.
Our activists were on the ground in Montana, and we were just hours away from a third and final vote on the floor of the Senate. The day prior, on the second reading, we passed the floor vote with a narrow margin of 26-24 with two Democrats and twenty-four Republicans voting in support of COS.
All indicators said that the COS Resolution should pass, especially because a third reading usually holds the same vote as the second reading.
Then it happened.
Common Cause paid for a massive text blast to voters in Montana telling lies about COS to mobilize phone calls into the state legislature, asking people to urge their Senators to vote against the COS Resolution.
As a result, one Senator flipped her vote and killed our Resolution in Montana for the year.
But John, here’s what George Soros doesn’t realize.
Now we know what to expect. We know his next move. And we’re adjusting strategies as we head into critical votes in Wyoming, Iowa, and Idaho.
We must drown out any negative phone calls Common Cause can mobilize with overwhelming calls in support of the COS resolution.
We must overcome the lies and deception with the truth about the Founders’ solution to rein in a power-hungry federal government.
That’s why we’re launching an urgent 48-hour fundraising campaign to take COS to the next level. We want to reach an even broader audience inside our target states, mobilizing phone calls from each legislator’s constituency, asking them to vote YES to COS.
We’ve set a time-sensitive goal to raise $50,000 in less than 48 hours.
John, it’s not lost on me that that’s a huge goal. But I will not sit idly by and watch as the radical left subverts our efforts to save the nation.
If we’ve learned anything from our loss in Montana, it’s that phone calls matter.
Now is the time to double-down. Will you please consider a gift of any size today to help advance the important work of COS?

P.S. I’ve asked my team to include a countdown clock on our donation page so you can see how much time we have to reach our goal. This one is going to be tight. Even $10 moves the needle.
