TAKE ACTION TO STOP THIS EVENT! ([link removed])

Dear John,

Can you help us with this urgent action?

This half term on Thursday the 16th February, St Cedds Church and the Parish of Stifford will host a mobile zoo run by ‘Jungle James’ from Maldon Promenade Zoo. Not satisfied with already running a stationary petting zoo for profit, Maldon Promenade Zoo also transports the captive animals held there to numerous events across the UK, to be used as live props for families to visit and get up-close to, typically, for a fee.

We need your help to stop this cruel event from happening!
We have only ONE day left to urge St. Cedd's Church Hall to reconsider holding this event, and to discourage them from using live animals as props for entertainment in the future.

So we are urgently calling on our wonderful supporters to take action by clicking the link below, and sending the letter to the organisers via our online form.

Promotional leaflet from Maldon Promenade Zoo's Facebook for the upcoming event on the 16th February.

Meerkats, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles and insects are being advertised as part of an event being held at St. Cedds Church in Grays, Essex, and the event has been promoted as an “interactive family show to learn about and interact with the creatures” present.

All animals, regardless of species, suffer a significantly heightened level of stress during public events, due to the stressful transportation processes required to get to the location, and the forced public handling and interaction present on the day.

With your help we can stop this event from going ahead and causing so much suffering!

We are simply, and politely asking that this family event go ahead without the use of live animals. We have contacted St. Cedd’s Church Hall and, unfortunately, they haven’t responded to us. Now we need your help to get their attention.

This urgent action will end on Thursday (16th Feb) morning, as the event is currently scheduled to go ahead at 10am.

Please act now! ([link removed])

Thank you for your support with this, and I'm sorry for the late notice! As always, we appreciate your vital help in the fight for animal freedom. I will let you know how this action goes!

For the animals
