Justice Democrats

John,

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by Nancy Pelosi's push for Sean Patrick Maloney to become Labor Secretary:

Salon: Critics decry Pelosi push for 'corporate hack' Sean Patrick Maloney to be labor secretary
Sean Patrick Maloney was the chair of DCCC last cycle which is built to protect entrenched incumbents from progressive primary challengers. He was a member of the New Democrats in Congress — a corporation-friendly caucus.

Nancy Pelosi and Sean Patrick Maloney are not the future of the Democratic Party. They are corporate-backed entrenched members of the old guard of the Party.

I need your help to continue to build progressive power and push the Democratic Party forward by electing more champions like AOC and Cori Bush. Will you contribute $3 to help us recruit the next slate of candidates for the 2024 election cycle?

Contribute $3

Big corporations almost always want to protect the way things are, while working-class families who are struggling to get by are the ones who desperately need change.

We know that 2024 sounds like it’s far away but when you’re going up against a machine that protects entrenched incumbents, we have to start early in order to win primary elections. AOC won in 2018. Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman won in 2020. Summer Lee just won in 2022.

We can win again in 2024, but with our own fundraising on the decline, we need your support today, John. Please make your best gift right now to help us continue our work.

No matter what — whether you can contribute or need to pass on chipping in today — we’re so thankful that you’re a part of our movement for progress.

In solidarity always,

Alexandra Rojas
