John,
Five years ago today, a gunman walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with an assault weapon and massacred 17 people in Parkland, Florida. Tonight, we’ll gather for a vigil to honor the victims. But as we prepare to gather together in solidarity and mourning, we are watching as news pours in about yet another deadly school shooting, this time at Michigan State University.
We honor the 17 lost in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas:

Young people at Michigan State University and their loved ones are experiencing the searing pain that is far too familiar to Americans. Our hearts ache, and we mourn for their loss.
To those in power: We’re begging for action. We’re dying waiting for it, but we’ll fight like hell for change.
In solidarity,
March For Our Lives
