Socialists Doing Stuff!

Hello Comrade!

?

Background Information:

  • On June 15, 2021, the Sacramento City Council approved the use of up to $1 million in Measure U funds for residents to propose ideas and vote on project concepts. The voting phase ended on Friday, November 11, 2022 and community-based organizations can now apply for funding to implement the winning projects.
  • Important information about the Measure U Grant and application process, including Notice of Funding Availability PDF form, located here. There is a video recording about the application process as well.

The Ask:

  • Sacramento DSA is hoping to apply for a grant to sponsor cleanup events around the Old North Sacramento/Gardenland/Del Paso Heights areas! But we need your help in the grant writing process and seeking interested members to be part of this potential clean up event(s)! The deadline to submit the grant application is Monday, February 27, 2023 at 4:00pm - so our timeline is a bit compact and ambitious.
  • If you are interested in being part of the potential community clean up and/or helping out with the grant application, please fill out this Google Form by Friday, February 17, 2023 at 5pm. This will allow us to compile and contact the appropriate individuals for this project.

?

Meeting for More Information:

  • If you can make it, our next meeting is Saturday, February 18 at 11am via Zoom. More details forthcoming.

Sacramento DSA is committed to making an impact in vulnerable communities and is hoping to submit a grant application by the deadline.

?

Please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.?

?

Sincerely,

Sacramento DSA

Camaraderie?is Powerful!
