John, you’ve
probably heard the terrible news from Ohio:

[ [link removed] ]More Perfect Union: On February 3, a horrifying railroad accident took
place. A Norfolk Southern freight train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio.
You might've seen images of the flames, but you probably haven't heard
that unions were trying to prevent this exact accident.

But this terrible accident is made worse because it was entirely
avoidable. Rail workers tried to warn us that this derailment could take
place. Take a look at this headline:

The Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, has so far continued
Trump-era deregulation by not requiring companies to upgrade their brake
systems on trains. We need your help to push Pete Buttigieg, to take
action, regulate the rail industry, and ensure these rail companies
upgrade their brake systems.
