Friends,
I remember exactly where I was when I heard about the Citizen’s United Ruling ten years ago. We knew it would devastate our democracy - and we were unfortunately right. The people that broke the system can’t fix the system, and that’s why I’m running.
Tomorrow, I’ll be joining progressive candidates for Congress and Senate to discuss the impact of Citizens United and the importance of getting big money out of our political system. Taking part will be leading candidates like Cenk Uygur (host of The Young Turks), Andrew Romanoff, Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Mike Siegel, and Kara Eastman.
All of us reject corporate money. None of us are funded by PACs. And all of us are challenging the special interests.
Will you join us tomorrow at 3pm ET/12 noon PT? Here is the Zoom link to RSVP and take part. [[link removed]]
In the Town Hall, we will be answering questions like: What has been the impact of Citizens United on our politics? What does it mean to get money out of politics? And what is it like to run against candidates who are funded by big money?
Please join tomorrow. It’s an important discussion that goes to the heart of protecting our democracy. Just RSVP here, and I look forward to your joining us at 3 ET/12 PT! [[link removed]]
Together, there is NOTHING we cannot do. See you there.
