Tina for Oregon

Hi John,

The homelessness crisis is a complex problem that Governor Kotek and her administration are addressing with people-centered solutions that can help everyone achieve stability and permanent housing.

On day one in office, Governor Kotek took immediate action, declaring a homelessness state of emergency and signing multiple executive orders to help Oregonians move off the streets and prevent families from becoming homeless.

Then the Governor asked the Oregon state legislature to approve $130 million in funds to build 600 shelter beds, keep 9,000 families housed, and help 1,200 homeless people find shelter, all with the goal to stave off homelessness.

And now, she’s proposed a “Mission Focused” budget for the state, with plans to increase homelessness shelter operations, and prevention programs and fund new, more affordable housing options.

This is only the beginning, John, and Governor Kotek needs to know she has the people behind her as she works to address this urgent crisis. So we’re coming to you:

Will you add your name to show your support for Governor Tina Kotek’s plans to ensure that no Oregonian has to experience homelessness?
