Folks — in an unprecedented attack on our voting rights, the Republican NC Supreme Court has ruled to rehear the case that, if ruled constitutional, would allow extreme partisan gerrymandering and regressive voter ID laws in our state.

This is an incredibly rare act of our Supreme Court, and one that could lead to a rise in voter suppression practices after the previous court correctly held the GOP’s shamelessly gerrymandered maps unconstitutional. Now, our free and fair elections could be in jeopardy once again.

Right now, it’s crucial that we bolster our efforts in the House to pass critical voting rights legislation to protect the people from Republicans dead-set on rolling back our progress. I’m doing everything in my power to protect our democracy, but I can’t do this work alone.

It’s clear as day, folks — the GOP cannot be trusted with our voting rights. So, if you can, pitch in $10 or more to help me protect the future of our democracy today.

North Carolina’s population has diversified over the years, and our districts should reflect that. Creating fair districts and removing barriers to the ballot box is crucial to creating a future that uplifts all people — no matter their zip code or background.

The only ones who have the power to choose their representatives should be the people, not self-interested politicians. It’s up to us to stop this offense to our democracy in its tracks.

We can’t look away from this blatant attack on our voting rights. If you’re with me, please contribute whatever you can towards my efforts to pass voting rights legislation in the House >> [[link removed]]

Thank you for standing with me on this.
