It’s a heavy week as we bury another Black person murdered by law enforcement. Say it with us, “It’s not bad apples, it’s a system of oppression.” We mourn and stand in solidarity with the Black community and every person harmed by racial injustice. Rest in power, Tyre Nichols. This week on the pod, we’re breaking down the ways justice is also not served for violence committed against abortion providers, volunteers, and patients. Caught on camera assaulting a 72-year-old clinic escort? No worries. If you are a men’s rights activist, chastity coach (shut up, it’s a real job!) and an anti-abortion activist, YOU’RE FINE! And, so it seems, are many other extremist goons harassing patients and doing crimes. We are doing a deep dive into this escalation of violence, and how even though they are violating federal laws known as the FACE Act, charges are being dropped against them faster than you can say, “I still can’t believe ‘chastity coach’ is a thing.” It’s scary, and your Buzzkills are bringing the facts. |
