As of Feb. 3, 9,088 Galveston County residents have received their updated bivalent booster vaccine, 241,820 residents have received at least one vaccine but not the updated bivalent booster vaccine and 104,154 residents are not vaccinated.??
As of Feb. 2, there are 4 Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) COVID-19 positive cases reported in Galveston County. For more information, please call 713-767-3000 or 211.??
To date, a total of 23,843 probable cases have been reported for Galveston County. As stated previously, probable cases are reported separate from confirmed cases. A probable case means a person tested positive for antigens or antibodies and also met the probable case definition from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Probable cases are not included in the county's confirmed case count because an antibody test and antigen test are not lab confirmed PCR tests.??
